Tosheka Products is a division of Tosheka Textiles LLC is a USA/Kenya based social enterprise, with extensive experience in commercial and community based textile production. Established by Kenyan textile designer and business woman Lucy Lau Bigham along with her business partner and husband Herman Bigham. Tosheka Products are dedicated to Preserving the Lives; Health and Safety Kenyans and Providing Business Opportunities and Employment. Tosheka Products and provide direct solutions, systems, installations and technology to address the life, health and safety issues facing Kenyans on a daily basis.
Our products
Our Eri Silk production provides pupa which is a unique, nutritional clean source of nonmeat high protein source that provides (10) income streams and numerous health and environmental benefits. We are now beginning to set up to process the Eri pupa which is 50 % clean protein into cereals; nutritional high protein energy bars; flour and Soybeans and meat protein substitutes.
We will also partner to produce and supply the pupa power to manufactures in Europe and the USA who are making non-meat alternatives sustainable foods. In sub-Saharan Africa, there are over 24.9 million people in need of humanitarian aid. Kenya is seen as a stable economy and is used by organizations like UNHCR to offer asylum to refugees.
We are interested in establishing joint ventures with companies producing alternative protein products to scaling up our silk production to supply contracted demand for our silk and pupa for production of their current and future product development. We have large confirmed orders for our silk cocoons from a Japanese buyer. We can provide our joint venture partners with a stable supply of Eri silk pupa powder at a below-market price.
